15 Dec 2003

According to EDFUND, the most expensive colleges are receiving a disporportionately larger share of federal campus aid for their low-income students. Here are some examples cited by EDFUND:

Stanford University received $211.80 per student to run its Perkins Loan program in 2000-01, compared to the national median of $14.38 per student
Harvard University received $.98 for every Pell Grant dollar received by its students, compared to the $.07 received by most other colleges.
