Eduventure Predicts 1 Million Students Will Take Online Classes by 2005

14 Jun 2004

In a new research report, Online Distance Education Market Update, Eduventures predicts that the online education market will continue to grow. According to Sean Gallagher, author of the report, "The majority of colleges and universities in the U.S. are now offering online education programs, and the credibility and acceptance of distance learning among consumers is creating a new era of opportunity and competition in higher education."

The report goes on to predict that the online distance-learning market will grow in excess of 30% for a number of years to come and that U.S. student enrollment will top 1 million in 2005.

While this report is available only to Eduventures' clients, another report of interest to educators, Managing Collegiate Enrollments: Identifying Solutions to Today's Pressing Challenges is freely available at Eduventures web site.
