To enter Urban America's Best and Brightest Contest, sponsored by College BroadBand and supported by Dell Computers, you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be currently enrolled as a high school senior (12th grade student)
- You must attend a public high school in an urban area (click here for a list of cities that meet that requirement)
- You must be currently applying to attend a 4-year college or university (for the Fall, 2005) as a full-time student
Four finalists will be selected to attend a gala Dr. Martin Lugher King Jr. birthday weekend in New York City, where one of them will be named Grand Prize Winner of a $20,000 college scholarship. All four finalists will receive free round-trip air travel to and from New York City, hotel accommodations, professional makeovers, and meals at some of New York City's finest restaurants. The three runners-up will each win a $500 scholarship for their freshman year of college, plus in-kind gifts from other contest sponsors.
Tip: After you apply for this scholarship, don't stop there. There are billions of dollars in other aid available. To find out about this funding, check out Reference Service Press's line of award-winning financial aid directories.
