2004/2005 Reference Service Press Fellowship Winner
The 2004/2005 winner of the Reference Service Press Fellowship is Susan Tyson, who holds advanced degrees in German and English literature. She has taught and tutored in a wide range of subjects, including computer software, college composition, German, ESL, and GED preparation. She believes that librarianship will unite and further her skills, experience, and interests, which include her "love of teaching and of working with people from a wide range of backgrounds, commitment to fostering an informed and engaged public, fascination with research in many fields, and background in computers."
Bottom line: Tyson sees "the library as a broader arena for education than the venues" in which she has taught.
