2001/2002 Reference Service Press Fellowship Winner
Christine (Christy) Thomas first considered a library career while writing her undergraduate honors thesis in art history at U.C. Berkeley. After graduation, she worked first in nonprofit development and fundraising and then as a reference assistant for Lehman Brothers in their investment banking division. Based on these experiences, Christy decided to pursue a degree in librarianship.
Christy began her studies at UCLA in the fall of 2001. She is primarily interested in seeking reference opportunities in art institutions, media organizations, and music libraries. In addition to the RSP Fellowship, Christy is also the recipient of a Dean's Scholarship from UCLA and the Sara Rebecca Reed Scholarship from Beta Phi Mu.
