2000/2001 Reference Service Press Fellowship Winner
Gabriella Lopez was born and raised in Szeged, Hungary. In 1996, she graduated with honors from the Juhasz Gyula College of Education with a bachelor's degree in education. She then came to the United States, at the invitation of her uncle, where she worked in her uncle's family business for the next three years.
In 1999, she took a full-time job at El Camino College and, shortly thereafter, enrolled in the MLIS program at San Jose State University.
Gabriella is now attending library school full time at SJSU's Southern California Distance Education Program in Fullerton. She expects to graduate in the fall of 2001. After graduation, she hopes to become a full-time reference librarian at El Camino College.
