Denise K. "Kathy" Headtke is a native Californian, raised and educated in southern California. Following nursing school and a seven year stint as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, Kathy decided to follow her hear and began working toward an MLS.
Kathy attended Allen Hancock College for two years, working the circulation desk in the learning resource center. In June, 1994, she graduated with honors from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she contined to work in the University's special collections and archives.
Currently, Kathy is working on her master's degree at the San Jose State lilbrary school program in Fullerton.
