"The article is an outstanding example of a skillful blending of library research and practice," said award committee chair Prudence Dalrymple. "It takes a careful and methodical approach to reference service in a special area and to a special group."
The Reference Service Press Award is given to an article that demonstrates excellence in writing, relevance, originality, timeliness and validity of methods used, and provides a valuable assessment of the sources used.
